Saying that His Majesty the King, by his serene order dated the day before, following Spontini's report of the "petite cabale" at the Théâtre Royal, has granted Spontini "la libre volonté" to conduct, as his right, [Auber's] Muette [de Portici], adding that he will conduct it that evening, and each time he deems it necessary.
